Flap Revisions
Autologous breast reconstruction often requires a secondary procedure four to six months after the initial flap operation. The goal of the surgery is to improve the contour and scars of the reconstructed breast, perform a nipple reconstruction, and address the opposite breast if needed. The revision operation typically lasts 1-1.5 hours, is performed under general anesthesia, and is an outpatient surgery. A two-week recovery is expected.
