Opposite Breast/Symmetry Procedures

Patients undergoing a unilateral mastectomy and breast reconstruction often consider undergoing a surgical procedure on their “non-cancer” breast. Often, a reconstructed breast is “perkier” or a different size than the opposite breast. Those patients may benefit from either a breast reduction, a breast-lift, or a breast augmentation to provide symmetry with the reconstructed breast. While some women choose to leave their healthy breast untouched, an opposite breast/symmetry procedure can deliver great cosmetic results.
